Make this a positive space by filling it with things that make you happy, such as fresh flowers or scented candles. Choose comfortable bedding in a bright colour to add cheer to your room and add a large mirror to reflect light and make space appear larger and open. If you\u2019re getting tired of looking at the same decor, consider printing out photographs of loved ones or motivational quotes, and rotate the images on your bedside table.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Stay connected<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While you\u2019re on bed rest you may not feel up to talking to your loved ones, physically or emotionally. However, it\u2019s important to maintain contact and a support system. Make it a point to spend half an hour every day communicating with a loved one, whether it\u2019s through face to face interaction, skype or phone calls. Joining social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter also allow you to keep up to date with your friends and families latest news and share your own.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Structure your time<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Creating a schedule for your day not only gives you things to look forward, helping you remain positive, it also helps time pass quicker. Once you wake up in the morning write down everything you would like to do and accomplish that day, such as meal times, how many chapters of your book you\u2019d like to finish or talking to friends. While you don\u2019t have to stick to this rigidly, it ensures you always have an activity you could be completing. It also helps you plan what you need for the day, allowing you to keep it nearby.
